FIRST DAY: Settle down in Reykjavík

Arrival at Reykjavík. Settle down in the hotel and welcome/briefing meeting with Touring Catalonia staff at 16:00 to introduce about ‘Iceland Winter photo workshop’. Dinner with all the photo group participants to break the ice.

SECOND DAY: Reykjavík – Vík

That day we will enjoy the most beautiful waterfalls in southern Iceland. We are going to shoot them and also climb several hills from which ones we could observe the immensity of the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull, and black sand beaches.

Timming (aprox) At 9 AM: Departure from Reykjavik hotel. Arrive at Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Visit the waterfall for both sides. Thengo to the Eyjafjallajokull visitor center. Brief visit to the center and taking pictures next to the farm. Arrival at Skógafoss waterfall. Visit the waterfall. Lunch. Arrival Dyrholaey. Climb the lighthouse and taking pictures. Arrival Reynisdrangar. Walk on the beach. 17h: Arrival farm Vík.

THIRD DAY: Vík – Vatnajokull NP

It’s time to know the largest glacier in Europe: the Vatnajökull. After a pleasant walking route towards east to attend a show called Jökulsárlón, which is actively photographing until get tired…

Timming (aprox) At 9 AM: Departure from Vík farm. Arrival Kirkjubaeklaestur. Stop. Arrival at Jökulsárlón. Visit the lake. Lunch. Arrival Jökulsárlón along the beach. Arrival Jökulsárlón along the lake. At 17PM: Arrival at Skalafell farm. End of the day.

FOURTH DAY: Vatnajokull NP – Vík

We get up early to discover the first lights at “Mount Batman” in Stokkness. Just after taking the maximum pictures as possible, we will go through Jökulsárlón to say goodbye to his amazing bright reflections. We head towards P.N. of Vatnajokull for a short walk to Svartifoss waterfall, also known as the black cascade.

Timming (aprox) At 9 AM: Departure from Skalafell farm. Visit Jökulsárlón. We go to the Jökulsárlón beach. Photograph the beach. Lunch. Arrival PN Vatnajokull. We visit the Svartifoss waterfall. We walked to the viewpoint of Sjornarnipa. At 17 PM: Arrival farm Vík. End of the day.

FIFTH DAY: Vík – Golden Circle – Reykjavík

We started the day with fantastic views of the south coast. We expect a perfect day. It will be a perfcet day to take advantatge of our cameras! Visit known as the “Golden Circle”, a typical path but no less charming. Timming (aprox) At 9 AM: Departure from Vík farm. Arrival at Gullfoss bark. Visit the waterfall, first aerial view and then, go down at the foot of it. Visit the park and waterfall Oxarafoss. Arrival in the geothermal area of Geysir. Visit to geisers and stop at the service area. Lunch. Arrival at the Thingevellir National Park. Visit the waterfall Oxarafoss and general visit to the park. At 17h PM Arrival at hotel in Reykjavik. End of the day.

SIXTH DAY: Reykjavík – Grundarfjordur

We will reach the Snaefellsness peninsula, a “mini Iceland,” where Jules Verne located the beginning of his famous book “A Journey to the Center of the Earth”. We will sleep in Grundarfjörður under the watchful eye of mysterious Mount Kirkjufell. Timming (aprox) At 9 AM: Departure from Reykjavik hotel. Arrival at Budir Church. Arrival and visit the village of Hellnar and Arnarstapi views of the glacier. Lunch. Arrival at the village Grundarfjordur. Visit the waterfall in front of Kirkjufell. 18h PM: Arrival at Grundarfjordur farm. End of the day.

SEVENTH DAY: Grundarfjordur – Reykjavík

The peninsula will continue delight us with its variety of bucolic landscapes. On the way to the charming Reykjavik we will make several stops. And, in our “last” night dinner and some drinks together. But before that, we suggest a visit to the most famous ‘natural attraction of the country, where we relax after so many emotions. It’s time to relax in the therm bath inthe Blue Lagoon.

EIGHTH DAY: Sweet goodbye
